So you can do under 40 minutes for a 10k run and possibly get close to the hour on a bike. But that 28 minute(1500m) swim time really lets you down doesn't it.

Here at Triathlon Swimming Masterclass we believe we can help you perform better. We don't promise better times, but we do encourage better swimming.

By encouraging you to take pride in your swimming and giving you the skills of many years of competitive swimming we believe we can change your approach and make you a better swimmer and consequently a better triathlete.

What Happens?

We currently run courses on a monthly basis which last about three hours and consist of three main segments.

  • Stroke breakdown with drills
  • Stroke developments and constant length by length feedback
  • Committing your efforts to memory and working under supervised practice

This is a scientific approach to improving participants swim times and we cover topics such as stroke rate vs. stroke length, breathing style, body position and arm motion.

Learning is facilitated through group discussion and group feedback so we attempt to develop the self-coaching aspect and help the athlete learn what his or her body should be doing through the water.

Our class numbers are relatively small, (12 on a course max) and we also use some video analysis and feedback sheets to help. We have produced course notes that will be available to all athletes.
